Reading a few articles and watching the news about David Haye retiring from the world of boxing before his 31st birthday, can’t help but smile! Not because I think he’s making the right decision or because it seems like he has worked hard enough in his life to have the opportunity to retire at this age! I think I smiled because it shows the how embarrassing it is to be a British athlete, yes and I know boxing is pretty embarrassing anyway when we look at how the mayweather vs pac man fight is never going, but for this guy to retire after beating a bunch of nobody’s, beating a monster who couldn’t punch and loved poetry to thinking he’s one of the best and deserves to retire, that’s embarrassing.

I hope this isn’t how sports end up, with people doing enough to earn millions without putting there hearts and talent on the line without actually fighting for what they are worth for selling out and scamming fans into supporting them, however I’m sure it won’t be long until he’s back in the ring, back from retirement, back for the title, the haymaker or maybe the moneymaker. Sad how money makes the world go round 🙁
